1. Services Provided

Ochopee Movers provides residential, commercial, and long-distance moving services, including packing, loading, transportation, unloading, and unpacking of goods. We also offer storage solutions. Our services are available for local and long-distance moves, with details provided during the booking process.

2. Booking and Payment Terms

To reserve our moving services, customers must contact us to schedule a date and time for their move. A non-refundable deposit may be required to confirm your booking. Full payment for the services must be made upon completion of the move, unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept various payment methods, including credit cards and bank transfers.

  • Deposit Requirement: A deposit is required to secure your booking.
  • Payment Methods: We accept payment by credit card, debit card, and bank transfer.
  • Balance Payment: The remaining balance is due at the time of completion.

3. Pricing and Estimates

Ochopee Movers provides an initial moving estimate based on the details provided by the customer. The final price is subject to change depending on factors such as the volume of items, special requirements, or unforeseen circumstances. Any changes to the original estimate will be communicated promptly.

  • Binding Estimates: Estimates given are non-binding, and the final price may vary based on the actual services rendered.
  • Additional Fees: Extra charges may apply for moving specialty items, large or bulky furniture, long-distance moves, or additional services such as storage.

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule your move, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance to avoid cancellation fees. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled moving date may incur a cancellation fee.

  • Rescheduling: We will do our best to accommodate rescheduling requests based on availability.
  • Cancellation Fee: A cancellation fee of [specify fee] may apply if less than 48 hours’ notice is given.

5. Responsibilities of the Customer

The customer is responsible for the following:

  • Providing Accurate Information: You must provide accurate details regarding the items being moved, their size, weight, and any special requirements.
  • Access and Parking: You must ensure that there is clear access for our movers and parking available near the property for loading and unloading.
  • Items Not to Be Moved: Some items are prohibited for transport, including hazardous materials, pets, perishable goods, and illegal items. A full list will be provided during the booking process.

6. Our Responsibilities

Ochopee Movers is responsible for:

  • Safe Handling: We will ensure that all items are handled with care, using appropriate equipment and techniques to prevent damage during the move.
  • Timely Delivery: We will make every effort to ensure that your move is completed on time. However, delays due to unforeseen circumstances (such as traffic, weather conditions, or accidents) may occur, and we will communicate any delays promptly.

7. Damaged or Lost Items

While we take every precaution to ensure your items are handled with care, damage or loss may occasionally occur. Ochopee Movers is insured for damage or loss that occurs due to the negligence of our staff during the move. Claims must be reported within 24 hours after the completion of the move.

  • Claims Process: To file a claim for damaged or lost items, please provide a detailed description and photographic evidence within 24 hours.
  • Exclusions: Ochopee Movers is not liable for damage to items that were not properly packed or that are not suitable for moving (e.g., fragile or valuable items).

8. Insurance and Liability

We offer basic insurance coverage for your belongings during the move. You may choose to purchase additional insurance for extra protection, particularly for high-value or fragile items.

  • Liability Coverage: The standard liability coverage includes compensation for items damaged due to our negligence.
  • Additional Insurance: You may opt for additional coverage for more valuable items or to protect against further risk.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

Ochopee Movers is committed to protecting your privacy. We collect and process personal information, including contact details and payment information, solely for the purpose of providing services. We do not share your personal data with third parties except as required by law or for business purposes (such as payment processing).

  • Personal Information: We collect only the necessary personal information to complete your move.
  • Security: We take reasonable steps to secure your information and prevent unauthorized access.

10. Indemnification

By using our services, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ochopee Movers, its employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, or losses arising from the transportation, handling, or storage of your belongings, except in cases of proven negligence on our part.

11. Limitation of Liability

Our liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the total amount paid for the service, excluding any incidental or consequential damages. Ochopee Movers is not liable for damages to items packed by the customer or for loss or damage caused by third parties.

12. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the issue amicably. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be settled through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

  • Arbitration: Any legal disputes will be handled by binding arbitration rather than litigation.
  • Governing Law: These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the state of Florida.

13. Modifications to Terms
